Nesta sexta-feira (23) rolou a maior premiação do mundo dos quadrinhos, durante a San Diego Comic-Con. O Prêmio Eisner 2021 contou com várias surpresas positivas (e outras nem tão surpresas assim) como Junji Ito ganhando na categoria de Melhor Roteirista e Artista por Venus in the Blind Spot e Remina, Kelly Thompson pela Melhor Série Nova com Viúva Negra e Matt Fraction e Steve Lieber levando pela Melhor Minissérie por Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen e mais outros dois prêmios.

James Tynion IV também levou como Melhor Roteirista pelo seu trabalho em Something Is Killing the Children, que será adaptada em série pela Netflix. Entretanto, nenhuma das suas três obras indicadas foram sido premiadas nas categorias em que concorreram.

Já a Kelly Thompson, de Viúva Negra e artista exclusiva da Marvel, estava em sua terceira indicação ao prêmio e garantiu o seu troféu somente no Eisner 2021.
